Become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Bethel Health Care
Bethel Health Care sponsors a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program on site. The course features classroom and clinical education that meets all of the Connecticut State Department of Health criteria that enables you to sit for the State of Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant exam.
Coursework includes forty (40) hours of theoretical classroom and sixty (60) hours of clinical laboratory instruction.
Topics of study include:
- Introduction to healthcare
- Effective communication with patients and the healthcare team
- Basic nursing skills
- Proper skin care
- Body structure and function
- Infection control
- Patient safety
- Feeding techniques
- Signs and symptoms of common diseases and conditions
- Caring for the cognitively impaired
