The Outpatient Therapy Services at Bethel Health Care are designed to help you recover from surgery, accidents, illness and assist with the management of disease symptoms.  We will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan to help you achieve optimal independence so that you can enjoy life to the fullest!

The referring physician is a key part of our team, and will be in communication with your therapist regarding your plan of care.  Our program includes state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled therapists who provide one-on-one care.  We offer a broad spectrum of Outpatient Services at one location on the campus of Bethel Health Care Center.  Specialized services include:

Physical Therapy

Specializing in treatment designed to help you regain movement and function, reduce pain and prevent future injury.

Vestibular Therapy

Specializing in comprehensive evaluation and treatment of balance and dizziness disorders provided by a Certified Vestibular Therapist.

Direct Access

In October 2007, the Connecticut Legislature approved Direct Access for Physical Therapy.  This means that patients may attend treatment with a physical therapist without needing to see a physician first.  Patients should check whether their insurance company reimburses for direct access treatment.

Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) - Lymphedema Treatment

Specializing in evaluation and treatment of swelling of the upper and lower body caused by malfunction of the lymphatic system provided by our certified lymphatic therapist.  Treatement includes education to reduce the risk of infection and increased swelling; compression bandaging, manual lymph draingage and fitting for compression garments to maximally reduce and manage lymphedema.

Speech Therapy Services

Specializing in treatment designed to regain function or compensate for communication, cognitive linguistic, hearing, and swallowing impairments.

Bike Fit Services  (Brochure)

We are proud to offer you our Bike Fit Program.  Andrea Myers, DPT, has combined her passion for riding with her profession.  She is a category 1 road cyclist and former professional racer who earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University in 2006.  Andrea utilizes her biomechanical knowledge and extensive racing experience to help racers and recreational cyclists achieve the best fit for their bodies.  As a physical therapist, Andrea possesses a superior skill set to traditional bike fitters.  She specializes in bike fitting to address pain or injury.  Contact Outpatient Therapy at 203-790-8520 to schedule an appointment.

Our Special Team of Therapists

Led by our Director, Michele Morris, RPT, our comprehensive team of speech language pathologists, physical and occupational therapists bring an impressive amount and quality of professional experience to our clinic.  We specialize in sports medicine, orthopedic injury and neurological impairment remediation and management.  Staff orthopedic specialists have a strong background in manual therapy treatment to address a variety of disorders.  Other staff specialties include vestibular and balance disorders, upper and lower extremity lymphedema management, splint/orthosis fabrication and management.Meet Our Therapists
